WOC Jakarta, Through Our Eyes

Last week, we wrapped up our time at World of Coffee Jakarta Exhibition. It was our first time stepping onto the international stage under the name of Solright, and we were proud to co-exhibit with local coffee gear brand Paper Knot — giving coffee professionals from all over the world a chance to experience Taiwan’s design and craftsmanship firsthand.
This journey gave us more than conversations — it was a full-body market experience. We walked into a region where coffee is growing rapidly and felt the real heartbeat of Asia’s new generation of coffee culture.
Jakarta: Real, Warm, and Caffeinated
WOC Jakarta gave us a very different feeling from shows we’ve seen in Europe, Japan, or Korea — where coffee has become a symbol of curated lifestyle and personal taste.
In Jakarta, the culture is bubbling over with energy. We met roasters, brewers, baristas, café owners, and equipment distributors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Europe — all coming together to exchange ideas and share their passion.
One of the most frequent questions we heard over the three-day show was:
“How is your grinder different from traditional hand grinders?”
That’s exactly what the Solright DB-1 was built to address — a tool that’s more intuitive, more user-friendly, and designed for daily use.
Quick disassembly, easy cleaning, a magnetic catch cup, and external grind adjustment — these might look like small touches, but they solve real problems users face every day. We want people to focus on enjoying their coffee, not fighting with their gear.
Many visitors agreed — the Solright DB-1 really does solve the small but annoying things that come with brewing every day. That feedback reassured us: Solright’s design philosophy is on the right track. Our goal is to make tools that bring good coffee into everyday life — effortlessly. Daily Brew
From Indonesia: A New Rhythm for the Asian Market
This time, we focused our attention on Indonesia’s local coffee language.
Indonesia is not just a coffee origin — it’s also a booming market for creative coffee beverages. Locals told us how hand-shaken drinks have influenced how people enjoy coffee here, especially when it comes to sweetness and flavor balance.
One standout trend? Coffee with palm sugar — a flavor-forward pairing that brings depth, sweetness, and unmistakable local character.
What we saw wasn’t imitation — it was identity. Indonesia is creating its own rhythm, and this kind of dialogue is exactly what we want our brand to be part of.
Solright doesn’t just want to sell tools — we want to connect with real local coffee life.
Back in Taiwan, Let the Conversations Keep Brewing
For us, 2025 WOC Jakarta wasn’t an ending. It was a beginning.
We’re now in touch with cafés, roasters, and distributors we met at the show — and even made a few unexpected connections with potential partners from other countries. We hope these early conversations grow into something meaningful, bringing Taiwan-made quality and thoughtful design to more brewers around the world.
If you stopped by our booth — thank you for taking the time to connect. If you missed us, feel free to drop us a message. We’d love to hear about your idea of the perfect hand grinder.
We look forward to seeing you again — in another city, another corner of the world. Wherever coffee goes, Solright will keep showing up — with purpose, with passion, and with design made in Taiwan.
We’re always looking for passionate distribution partners around the world. If you’re interested in working with us — reach out, we’d love to connect!
